The self adhering POL-E-BASE may be applied directly to clean galvanized metal on aluminum buildings. Most applications require the POL-E-BASE to be applied to the seams and end laps only. The POL-E- BASE has the polyester fabric POL-E-FORCE exposed on the top side.
This allows the WHITE PLASTIC acrylic coating to saturate the fabric and insure adhesion. The self adhered products are cold applied and require no special installation tools. The fully adhered system requires no mechanical fasteners or metal flashings.
If the existing metal surface is not already white, coating the entire roof with #1300T is recommended to provide reflective insulation and lower surface temperature that reduces the expansion and contraction of the metal. The POL-E-BASE membrane assures that you covered the seam with a consistent product thickness.
